We are thrilled to announce the inaugural San Francisco Fall Lacrosse Classic - Saturday, October 10, 2009 - at historic Kezar Stadium in San Francisco. For the first time in Northern California, spectators and supporters will have the chance to see men’s lacrosse played at the highest level when nationally-ranked NCAA Division I teams Brown University and the University of North Carolina meet on the field.
Prior to Saturday afternoon's game, the coaching staffs and players from Brown and North Carolina will be offering free clinics for youth (4th-8th grade) and youth and high school coaches. It should be a tremendous day, with 100% of the ticket proceeds going to the Bay Area Youth Sports Foundation (BAYS). BAYS’ mission is to support programs that provide access and increase opportunities for underserved kids in the Bay Area to participate in organized sports.
One of our goals is to provide a spark to the sport by giving the Bay Area’s youth lacrosse players and their families an opportunity to see the sport played at its highest level. To that end, we are offering a 20% discount on group ticket purchases (10 tickets or more purchased together) so that teams and clubs can attend together. Since we have a limited number of spots available in our free clinics, clubs and teams purchasing blocks of group tickets will have a special opportunity to enter their ticket numbers into a special lottery for these spots. More details will appear on our website in the coming days.
Tickets for the SF Fall Lacrosse Classic are on sale now. Ticket information and a purchase link can be found at www.sflacrosse.com . If you’re on Facebook, please check out our Facebook page and spread the word at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=13755667925#/event.php?eid=72795539126.
